Media Iridescence Project

We came up with  our original ideas by coming up with 2-4 emotions and we picked “Depression, Stress, and Freedom. This led us to make contrasts with not only the themes and actions in the videos but also the colour and I used the film to make it seem like a distant memory as the film went on. We took inspiration from multiple different creators like Imase and Fuji Kaze. The biggest inspiration we took from is the fan made music video “Racing into the Night” by the Anime Men. We had some idea’s about putting some “risky” scenes with knifes and alcohol. We ended up not using these scenes due to the fact that our teacher said it would set off a trigger warning that may upset some audiences. Our brainstorming technique was sometimes suboptimal to the timing of our project. This is because some of our group members were disengaged with the project at the time. The brainstorming process was definitely the most boring part of the project leading to this result.

We created a, timeline, storyboard, script, time sequences, effects list, colour chart and a list of all of the resources we were going to use (ie: props, editing software). The use of the computers during the planning phase was good and we used them efficiently except for the fact that some people were playing games or were off task. Our use of OneNote was very good. We successfully executed this by utilizing the “Collaboration Space”. Peoples use of teams and the internet was NOT GOOD. People were off task and playing games leading us to not finishing our deadlines on time. For my group members to not be off task and playing games during the time we could have used to finish the task early. One of my group members Havish learned how to use a camera effectively by learning how to reduce and increase exposure and other settings.

We edited the video together by having one person import all of the videos on our computer and give all the camera videos to me over email. Then I edited the video at home. I used the functions of adding text to a video that is moving, Blurring, transition effects, video effects, colour functions and film fade. I used one video of a coffee machine by downloading on my computer and I also edited it on photoshop to make the blur cleaner. I learned how to add and remove text while the video was playing and I also learned how to use other programs and import them into my video with clarity. I would engage in the editing more because I didn’t finish it on time due to some 3rd parties and I would also film more.

The best aspects of our video were the dark parts transferring to the bright cityscapes In the video. This incorporated the idea of iridescence into the video while still retaining the overall message of the song. We did need to improve the transitions to make them cleaner in the chorus especially. I learned to not rely on people to engage themselves without direction. I also learned the full processes to making a film.

Project Utopia

Project Utopia was a three-term long project where we re-design the Fremantle port. This is because the port is being relocated to the Kwinana highway.

The first stage we did was going to the actual port. There we saw the landmarks and the history of the port. This helped with our project by helping us understand and visualize the port better and see what it actually looks like. Then we got into our first set of groups and had experts come and give us ideas for our project relating to their fields or expertise. In our groups, we had one or two leaders but we all did the same or equal amount of work on the project. Each of our groups had to create a vision board with 3D aspects and some of our projects relating to global goals of sustainable energy life on land ext.

After we finished that part of the project we got into our new groups and had to work on a spaces area and vision boards for the project. We also could do an optional Minecraft world. We all had to create a presentation to show in front of our parents with all of our aspects of the project.

Then after all of that, we got together as a class and chose the best aspects of each project putting it on one final big map of Fremantle’s Port. We also had to figure out the dimensions of each crucial piece of infrastructure.

Wind Water and Solar Comparsone

This is the wind water and solar comparison I did for science. The difference about wind is that it has a turbine to spin it and when the kinetic energy has built up it stores and provides to transmission lines to go to cities. Waterworks are essentially the same but instead of wind, it is the force of the waves pushing the turbine. Solar has a grid that collects and stores energy in a battery and it does this by using heat and turning that into energy through the grid. The upside of solar is that it is fast and efficient however wind and water are not fast nor efficient but wind produces more energy than one solar panel.

Media Hub

This is my Media Hub journey at All Saints Collage so far I currently have created 2 pieces of artwork so far and edited one of my videos at the club and filmed multiple videos. This helped my skills with technology and if I need to use camera editing software or an art program I can now do it. The videos are sadly taken down on my Youtube channel. Media Hub also taught me how to operate a YouTube channel and create content on it by editing filming and posting the video to YouTube.

Nexus Tech Connected learning

In Connected learning, we did four things Canva, a video, Paint 3D, and Adobe Spark these all increased my technology knowledge and gave me other and multiple ways to display my knowledge.

Canva

In Canva we learned how to use and create a poster with our resources and the royalty-free resources I feel like this portion of the Connected Learning program is the Canva Project that I made

Video Production

In this section of the Conected Learning program, we made short videos and edited them with either three programs Premer Pro Premer Rush, or Microsoft Video Editor. I really liked this and wished that we could do more of this. I worked with two people on this Conner who did the editing and and filming and me and Tim who did the acting in the video this helped us strengthen our knowledge and further improve our editing skills.

Water Cycle + Grey Water Recycling

Oil spills: cause pollution to waterways causing the precipitation to increase in Ph value. Therefore causing acid rain. This affects the water cycle by making the PH of the water higher making it harder to evaporate.

Dams: Affect the water cycle by making transpiration harder to do because dams are using manly a foraged concrete area so less water is going through the transpiration phase.

Grey Water Recycling: Greywater is from a washing machine or basin and recycling is the process of using it in water gardens and greenhouses. The benefits of it are reducing water waste.
