About Me

Paula Krause

My name is Paula Krause. I am logical and have high standards. I am passionate about classical music, and I play the violin, flute, and piano, the violin being my main instrument, which I have played since I was four. I play my violin in WAYO (West Australian Youth Orchestra), as well as in multiple school ensembles. I enjoy listening to classical music, especially from the romantic period.

At school, I am hard working and I strive for excellence in my work and to achieve the best that I can. I enjoy all academic subjects, especially Science and Music. I also enjoy reading non-fiction as I like to learn new things. My favourite topics are astronomy, astrophysics and chemistry. I also enjoy coding, and have used a variety of programs to do so, including Unity and Python.

I believe that the most important ASC capability is problem solving, as it is necessary to overcome challenges and must be applied in all areas in order to improve and to achieve goals. The E.R.I.C quality that I believe is the most important is integrity, as, by using it, you are doing what is morally correct, and this will lead you to demonstrate the other values -empathy, respect and courage- through that.

The achievement that I am most proud of is that I won the award for the best 7/8 grade performance and I received an A+ for my grade 8 exam in 2020, which I put a lot of hard work into, and because of this, I find the achievement fulfilling.

In the future, I plan to be a professional violinist. This is because I enjoy music, it is one of my strengths, and I have a lot of experience in it, having played in a variety of different ensembles and having performed many times.
