Over the past couple of weeks Grace, Elle, Jordan and I are making a song/video about rubbish and the polution and how we should save the sea animals. during this progress we have done alot of filming and relised how bad the rubbish is making our environment look and the impact it has on the deaths of our sea animals. we also found out that according to the United Nations, at least 800 species worldwide are affected by marine debris, and as much as 80 percent of that litter is plastic. It is estimated that up to 13 million metric tons of plastic ends up in the ocean each year—the equivalent of a rubbish or garbage truck load’s worth every minute. Fish, seabirds, sea turtles, and marine mammals can become entangled in- or ingest plastic debris, causing suffocation, starvation, and drowning.

Water

During HASS we have been learing about water and how people have to travel kilometers just to get a bucket of water for the whole day. So Ms Shaw made us carry 15L of water down the north lawn. I didn’t really like doing this because I couldn’t see the reason for it. I can now see why we did it to see how the people who have to carry water a long way feel. It was heavy and hard to hold.
