At my primary school in year 6, I was elected as student councilor for 2018. Within this year, the leadership team had a vote for which charity we should raise money for and we decided upon The Starlight Foundation. We spent all of our meetings discussing ways to raise money for the foundation. After many meetings and discussions, we decided to run a fair. There were stalls and each class had their own, there were games and water slides. All together we raised $1,500 for The Starlight Foundation. Also that year, we had to write a paragraph outlining what services we had done in our life to help the community to win an award at the graduation assembly. I ended up winning the award at the assembly because over my life I have done many things including helping out the kids at Byford Recreation Centre with their basketball skills.
