Badminton Awards

In 2017 when I was still in primary school, me and my doubles partner fought hard to achieve first place in the competition. The competition was fierce with over 20 partners all competing for the winning trophy, however our determination resulted in our success.

Later in 2019, this was the year I first started schooling at All Saints’ College, I competed again except this time in singles. To my suprise all the competitors there were young adults, however I didn’t let that phase me and I continued to push hard for every point. This landed me in the top 4 out of 30. It was a tough match that I still remember to this date, I lost to the opposition. All I could hear around me was poor little girl, however I didn’t feel that way as I left that court knowing my weakness and where to improve. I received a plaque for coming in the semis that day.

I have been training since primary school and continued until the end of 2022, however I didn’t stop playing the sport as in year 11 sport term 1, I chose mixed sport where I knew I would be able to play badminton. The term following I signed up for the team and got selected amongst many others.
