About Me

Over my time in All Saints, I have developed some strengths and capabilities. Working in group projects are a lot easier for me because I can communicate with different people and put ideas together which relates to my first capability, which is being collaborative.

There are lots of different ways to be collaborative. One way is through working in group projects. So far this year, I have done one English group project that got the highest mark out of all my other English projects. This shows that I work well with people, and I can collaborate to put ideas together. One of the All Saints cocurricular activities I go to is the girls under 15 basketball club. To play well, you will have to collaborate with your team mates to throw, catch and pass. My skills have improved pass this year as I learnt to collaborate more with my teammates.

One of the skills I have learnt is violin which relates to my second capability which is being creative. I have learnt violin since year four and playing violin requires a lot of time and practise. Playing violin has many benefits like different cocurricular activities. Since year four, I have joined Amati strings and kid strings. Overall, playing violin is not easy but learning to play music can trigger your brain to work in new, creative ways.

2021 Reflection

Throughout 2021 I tried many different learning opportunities and faced some challenges on the way. Like competing in the swimming carnival and the interschool cross country. Even though I didn’t do amazing I was still able to learn, try new experiences and work harder for next year.

Year 8 camp was also a challenge for me. There were teamwork activities and some game challenges that made everyone tired out and sleepwalking during the day. The weather was freezing and some of the activities we did took a lot of effort and teamwork. My team and I even got lost during orienteering, but at the end camp did bring our friends closer and we learnt from the experience.
