Get To Know Me!

Hey, I’m Emily, welcome to my About Me! My friends describe me as a smart and honest person who will do my very best to achieve my goals and aspirations. I am also a very hardworking person who will always true my very best in everything I do, even if it’s something simple like finishing a quest in a game or studying for a school project, I will always try my very hardest. I would say that I am very resilient the quote “The road to success and the road to failure are almost exactly the same.” by Collin R. Davis resonated with me the most. Since there are always going to be failures and mistakes this quote shows me that all of those failures will help me succeed in the future and to not dwell on those past mistakes and to focus on future successes.

Resilience is something that all people should have, and as a part of year 8 OLP the river crossing, my resilience was something that made me push forward and continue to put one foot in front of the other. Plus, if I didn’t I would be swept by the force of the lake. It was a cold experience and something I wouldn’t do again but it helped me realize that any challenge faced can be completed with a lot of determination

I collaborated with my team, helped divide work evenly amongst ourselves for Project Utopia, and kept everyone on track by messaging them about what to complete next and ensuring that they knew what they were doing. Working as a team was both enjoyable and challenging, but it was thrilling to see our finished product at the showcase!

With all these experiences, I have grown to be a more efficient person, managing my time better during school projects or at home studying. When I am not at school or working on assignments, I enjoy hanging out and shopping with my friends. Friendship is something I value so my friends are very precious to me and I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
