About Me

Welcome to my ePortfolio! I’m Genevieve (but most people call me Genna) and I am currently in Year 12 at All Saints’ College.

I strive to be a diligent individual, committed to putting in sincere effort and dedicating myself to any task, regardless of its importance. My passion lies in team sports such as netball and volleyball, where collaboration among players is vital in order to succeed. The presence of my friends and peers uplifts my spirits and motivates me to give my utmost in everything I do. Nevertheless, during times when I find myself alone, I rely on my self-motivation and independence to accomplish tasks that may not be as personally enjoyable to me.

I spent my primary school years at a very small school which allowed me to meet everyone and be a part of a close community. This was the beginning of my leadership journey which progressed when I joined All Saints’. Throughout primary and high school, I have developed leadership skills from the many different leadership positions and experiences that I have been fortunate to experience. By being a leader, I have learnt that patience is one of my strengths. When explaining things to others, I make sure that I’m open to questions and re-explaining things if they don’t understand.

I also prioritise serving and giving back to the community as I find happiness in helping and positively impacting someone’s life because:

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”- Ghandi

I am uncertain about the specific career I want to pursue in the future, however I know that I want to continue to help others in the medical field. I hope that I can leave a legacy of humility, friendliness, and kindness in my community.
