“Hello!”

A little about me and my personality!

Hi! I’m Helena, welcome to my e-portfolio! In case you couldn’t already tell by my e-portfolio, I have an amazing eye for design and arts. Not only that, but I love going out with my friends whenever I have the chance. But when it comes to the time for work, I put my head down and get the job done, whether it be independently or with my peers.

I believe the most important traits that I possess are creativity and problem-solving. I believe creativity and problem-solving relate to each other largely as in order to problem-solve, you need to think “outside of the box”. That is why using creativity and motor skills, I am able to asses and draw conclusions to problems in a variety of areas ranging from everyday life to even school work. I believe I can use these abilities to do greater good for the community.

I’m very interested in anything that gets my creative juices flowing. This can be art, makeup, or even product design. Doing makeup specifically has helped my creativity by designing looks, experimenting with colour schemes & improving placement. Fashion has also been another hobby that has allowed me to explore my creativity. Using colour schemes I am able to create outfits and build an aesthetic around my personality, which consists of different textures and multi-chrome colours such as black, grey, white, browns, silver chrome and etc. Another simple hobby that I enjoy is basketball. Playing for the All Saints Club has helped me build strong bonds with students from different grades and even schools. This has helped my collaboration and communication skills by a large amount, making it easier to adapt to almost any work environment by using teamwork and taking advantage of different strengths.

The Innovation scholarship is to bring out the best in students and help them design something they are passionate about for the community. Using this scholarship, I’ve learnt to apply creative thinking skills and collaboration skills to almost any work environment. This has helped me in multiple InnovatED projects by allowing me to free-flow my ideas through different pieces of work.

Using these skills, I’ve picked up throughout my life so far, I hope to use these capabilities in the medical field, being a trauma surgeon. Not only will this allow me to push myself above my personal limit, but it also will allow me to provide a service in helping others.

Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me!
