Sustainability:

We implemented sustainability into our town by adding features such as green roofs, water filtering plants, and vertical gardens. Our most important feature for sustainability/town was our green alley ways. Green alley ways are when we use dark, dingy and rubbish filled corners and turn them into a useful pocket of helpful plants that can help create fresh air and even regulate the ground temperatures. For our energy, our town relies on solar energy and wind turbines as a backup on cooler days, allowing us to use clean and renewable energy sources. This took a lot of research to finalize, as there were so many ideas to choose from.

Geographical Concepts:

We planted ourselves on the coast of Canada, as that was the warmer place of Canada. We chose this as we wanted the best climate to use our solar panels and give our tons of plants the best weather to grow and stay healthy. Not only did we pick Canada for its weather, we also picked it as it is already a safe country, being the number 6th on the leader board of the safest countries.
