My Learning:

Currently, my favourite subjects consist of science- as I find practicals very fun, informative and hands-on, english- as I love getting creative and expressing my ideas on paper as well as writing descriptive and persuasive texts, and PE- because I enjoy getting outside and getting active. This year, I am currently studying all of my core subjects, but I am also doing year 9 electives, which so far has been extremely fun. My electives this semester are Wind, Waves, Water and Lock Outdoor Ed. These are both incredibly awesome and I love getting out and doing the camps and activities, as it gets me out of the standard classroom while still teaching me skills. Next year, I hope to do similar subjects as well as wanting to focus harder on maths and english. Some Learning habits I’m hoping to grow more includes putting more time away for studying and projects, as well as not letting distractions get to me and use visual learning. The methods I use to study and learn consists of writing lots of notes, doing activities/worksheets and hands-on education. Even out of my basic subjects and school, I have learnt multiple skills such as social skills and becoming more organised. I think some of the best advice I’ve ever been given is trusting your gut, getting rid of negative people and to prioritise being happy and healthy.

My Future:

This is not a definite, but I think become a game developer/software coder or creative developer would be a really fun career. The tasks you would have to do once having a job like this would include developing code for multiple different platforms, bug fixing/testing and 3D modelling. Some qualifications in order to have a job like this include a major in games design, games development and/or programming. I also assume many companies would want someone with plenty of experience. The types of industries that would want a game developer or software developer includes mobile/tech industries, computer game companies and people who require websites for their business. Although, the variety of industries may change in the future, as the online and technology demographic and need is rapidly increasing. Currently, a few businesses who require someone with coding/developing experience are Riot Games, ROBLOX and more. A few successful people in this industry includes my mother and father- who have an IT company, John Carmack- who created Doom, Quake and joined oculus.
