Archery
In archery, we spent multiple weeks with our trainer Mary in order to improve our target skills and learning how to shoot a bow from multiple distances. This improved a lot of skills as well as it being a fun time with my friends. Archery has improved my aim and my experience with shooting bows.
Snorkelling
In snorkelling, we so far have trained in the school pool, and will soon use our skills to swim around Coogee beach and visit the Omeo ship wreck close by. We have been training our duck dives, using a snorkel and practicing hand signals with each other. We also learned the standard snorkel swim and will be able to snorkel both days on camp.
Orienteering
In orienteering, we learnt all the skills needed to direct ourselves with a map and compass, helping to find the marked letter panels and navigate bush lands. I especially liked going to Jorgenson Park, as it was really fun to use our skills in a heavily bushed area. We learned to take bearings, use a compass and take a pacing in order to help us find our way.

Highlights, Goals and more
During this course there were many highlights and memorable moments that we had. One I especially enjoyed was orienteering, as it was so much fun and going into the bush with your friends was awesome. We learnt some skills that we can carry on, as well as good times such as when I bet Seth $50 that he couldn’t get a bullseye in archery, but then he immediately got one. My goals throughout this course was to learn new things about survival and adventuring, which i now have completed, as well as having a fun time and improving my archery. We saw and did so many cool things, and I learned about Dieback during our orienteering, which is something i hadn’t heard of before. We also visited places i didn’t know about such as Manning Park.
