our challenge is to create an earthquake proof building that can withstand a lot of shaking. We only have $60 to spend on materials and we have to make the most of this. We are hoping to build a structurally sound and tall building, which will help us understand the architecture needed to build things in earthquake zones. It is important for us to learn the ways to make a building earthquake resistant as there are many countries that require this kind of architecture in order to keep people and towns safe. To succeed in this challenge, we would have to properly meet all requirements and have our tower survive a 10 second test (p-waves and s-waves) while being in good condition.
