This semester in InnovatED we have been working on compiling a circus performance to showcase at the year eight markets. The performance was used to promote awareness of the 9isM9 corporation. 9isM9 helps to promote rights for underprivileged children in India.

Performance Reflection

I think that the performance went well. There were few mistakes made and the audience gave good feedback. The audience didn’t engage with the performance much. They only applauded at the end of each act and didn’t participate in our clap or show any excitement. The performance wasn’t really in the most convenient place because it was right in the ampitheatre. There were lots of people all around the mat so some people couldn’t do their performance as planned. The people running market stalls also complained because they said the audience was blocking their stalls and that potential customers were watching the performance instead of buying their products. Overall I would say that the performance went well with few problems.

Semester Reflection

During the semester I think that the group as a whole was a bit distracted. The group didn’t focus on tasks and messed around a lot. I think that to improve we should’ve spent more time practicing and focusing on the actual performance instead of reading the stories and discussing them. I think that we worked hard in the last few weeks because we didn’t have a performance put together and we made one in the last few weeks and I think that considering this our end performance was good but it didn’t really relate to the 9isM9 organisation.
