Isabella Podesta

I am currently 13 years old and in year 8 at All Saints College. My interests and passions are netball and my friends and family. Friends and family are important to me because I feel that everyone needs people to help and support them in their goals.

I would describe myself as an empathetic and caring person who can easily
understand how others would be feeling and place myself in their shoes to
better understand their situation. This is a useful skill to have because it
allows me to be good at resolving conflicts. I can easily understand different people’s
points of view and therefore compromise with them.

I find that I work well in a team as both a leader and a follower. I can
take charge and keep everything running smoothly in a fair way as well as
follow instructions and complete tasks well in a group. I like working with
other people because it allows me to see the topic from a different perspective
and learn new things from other people. I find this skill useful when I am
playing netball to interact with my teammates and work well to achieve our goals.

I am a hardworking individual who will focus on a task until it is complete
and put in all the work to make sure that the task is done to the best of my
ability. I like to focus on one thing at a time and I won’t stop until the task
is fully completed.

I am passionate about science because I am curious about everything. I like to learn about new things and find out as much as I can about the world and other people. This is an important skill that I have developed as I can learn about people to help them with any problems they have and to find out new information about them and the world around me.
