I, Ishaan Gopalan, am a natural-born leader that loves helping people and benefiting my community. I am currently in year 7 and attending All Saints’ College, and have been for the last 6 years. I live with my parents and my 9-year-old sister, who attends All Saints’ Collage as well. In year 6, I was nominated to go for house captain in year 6, though I was unsuccessful in getting the position. I then went for class representative in year 7 and was successful in achieving the position. I am quite involved in the community, making many visits to RAAFA and Amana living. I have also attended fundraising events, cooking for the homeless, and spent my own money to help the community, by buying hygiene products. I love playing sports and I spend time watching sporting games with my Family. I love the Australian cricket team and I am an avid Fremantle dockers fan. I am a hardworking student academically, and I thrive to do my best in anything I do at school. I thoroughly enjoy science, maths, HASS, and sport. For the last 6 years, I have been doing karate lessons with Wilkes Martial Arts, and I recently became a black belt. I also love art and playing guitar. I have played various instruments, such as piano, trumpet, cello, and guitar. I also love reading, and I spend a lot of my time reading.

When I grow up, I would like to become an engineer because I love science and maths and an engineer is an interesting job. I would also like to take my sporting skills to the next level because I love it and am pretty good at it. I am currently playing WABL for the Willetton Tigers. I play basketball 6 days a week, so it would be good to put all this effort into good. When I grow up I would like to be involved in the community but taking part in community service, and helping people whenever possible. I also love art and would like to continue that as a hobby as I get older. When I am older I would like to have a humble, modest personality, while also being courageous, assertive, and polite. I don’t want to be the kind of person to show off and boast about things. I believe that kindness is very important because it could make someone’s day, and it costs you nothing. I also believe in manners, because it can get you anywhere for free.
