This semester of woodwork. We made a handle for a spinning top, which we used several different machines, these were, Disk sander, scroll saw, and the pedestal drill. We also sketched a design for the handle that best suited us. My design was pretty basic, it had an indent where your thumb and fingers would go as well as a rounded top and bottom. I used the scroll saw to cut out the indents for the fingers and the disk sander to make the rounded edges. I also used sandpaper to smoothen out each side and the edges. The last thing we did was to imprint a small design onto one side of the handle. I chose the TOOL logo which is my favorite band. Overall the semester of the woodwork was very fun and I enjoyed learning how to use machines.
