SAFE DRIVING PLEDGE + QUESTIONS

What were the biggest things you learned while at the RACbstreetsmart excursion?  -I really learnt the impact that car accidents have on the victims, with effects lingering for the rest of their lives -I learnt how seconds of distraction can equal many metres of travel
What one piece of advice would you pass on to young drivers above all else? Why?  -Keep all passengers safe, if anything happens to the passengers it’ll be your responsibility and you’ll face bad repercussion for not looking out for them in an accident
Write down a pledge that you will commit to when you start driving. Why did you pick these things to commit to? How will you stick to these commitments?  I pledge to only drive if I’m in a condition which makes me fit to, meaning that I won’t drive if I’m fatigued or under the influence of any illicit substances. I picked these because I tend to be tired a lot, and with the large amount of accidents and deaths caused by fatigue (even worse when mixed with illicit substances) I need to make sure I am being safe with this very common statistic in mind. To commit to this, I’ll take time to self-check in before I go for a drive with my tired levels.
