What is a film festival?

You maybe wondering what a film festival is? It is basically a competition where individuals or teams create a short film that would be presented in a presentation ceremony. However, sometimes film festivals could also have small or big prizes depending on who the film festival is targeted for.

About the Hot House Company Film Festival:

Just like any other film festival, teams of 2-4 had to create a short film to be presented. The main challenge in this film festival was that we had to make it unique, so my team and I decided to make our film a puppet pals animation. My team consisted of myself, Nishaan Sunner and Ricky Qiu, and together, we all used our different skills to create a wonderful film. Our film got selected as one of the winners, and we each won $25 JB-HI-FI gift cards. Not only this but our film was presented in a ceremony with all the other winners of this Film Festival

‘The Runaway’ Film:

Our film consisted of three simple elements; A poem, an animation and some background music. When we were making out film we decided to create our poem first as it would be our main element for this movie. We worked on that before we started anything else, trying to make it sound the best it can. Next we started to make our animation. We drew out our backgrounds for each scene, and made each character. After that we kept recording until it was the best we could make it. Our third element was the easiest and quickest to finish. We decided to add the song Stairway to Heaven, which was played via Garage Band to easily access this piece of Audio.
