What were we trying to do
In InnovateED we did the RAAFA project which was about making a food delivery system for the people who couldn’t get to the cafes. The main goal was to design a buggy that was fit for transporting food.
What we did
We found a ready-made buggy but we, unfortunately, the teachers said we couldn’t use it in our pitch because it was too easy. We ended up finding a buggy with a nice area on the back to put an esky and a heater/warmer for the food. We also found cheap plastic takeaway containers to put the actual meals in.
Site trip
Early on in the project we went to RAAFA ad checked the menus and the roads and looked at how we could implement our systems in the environment. We asked the staff questions and they answered with a lot of detail. We could also take photos.
What is RAAFA
RAAFA provides residential care, retirement living. It is also a royal air force memorial and contains a museum that contains many plains.
