Personal Profile

A Little About Me:

My name is Tarquin Slieker, a Year 12 student at All Saints College, Bull Creek. I am a hard-working, kind, and diligent student undertaking an ATAR pathway in 2025. Throughout my academic studies, I have effectively developed my time management skills while consistently demonstrating a positive work ethic. My part-time job of Basketball coaching has provided me with valuable workplace skills, allowing me to develop my communication and problem-solving abilities when dealing with a diverse range of students.

A recent experience that had a positive impact on me was my Work Experience at my local primary school. During my placement, I spent a week helping out in the classroom, allowing me to interact and help the students one-on-one. This opportunity broadened my understanding of the strategies teachers employ to maintain equilibrium. These include ‘brain breaks’ and ‘reward systems’ in the classroom. Furthermore, to create a safe environment for all children.

Future Goals and Passions:

A goal I am driven towards for the future is to obtain a qualification as a Junior Education Teacher through University. While I am studying, I would love to do some work as an education assistant. By teaching, I aim to make a positive impact on the lives of young children through education and foster an encouraging and safe classroom environment.

Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym and playing basketball with my friends. My basketball team has been together since 2016. I’m also a very avid reader. I enjoy reading the Fantasy genre, containing supernatural characters. I love to go on my boat in Busselton having recently acquired my Skipper’s ticket. I’ve recently experimented with baking cakes and desserts for my family.
