Hello and welcome to my Eportfolio! My name is Tom Smith, and I was born in 2007. I am the youngest of three with an older brother and sister. I was born in Perth and have lived here for my entire life but later I hope to move to Whistler in Canada. All Saints has been my school since Kindy, and I plan to stay here until I graduate. I am always striving to improve myself by referring to the many capabilities and values that are taught at this school.

“You can choose courage or you can choose comfort. You cannot have both.”

Brené Brown

For me, the most important capability I have learnt at ASC is resilience. Being resilient is important because things don’t always go your way and to keep trying until it does work is a great trait to have. It teaches you to work around problems and find new ways to counter them.

As well as practicing many capabilities, I also try my best to keep up with E.R.I.C (empathy, respect, integrity, courage). E.R.I.C are our school values and the one which I believe is the most important is courage. I think this because going out of your comfort zone is how you learn new qualities to improve yourself for your schooling career and further. Doing something that you are afraid of can greatly boost your self confidence, allowing you to achieve bigger and better things.

Lately I have joined my friend’s business in $20 boss, an innovation subject. Although I had only been a part of the business for a few weeks, I had already made a large contribution, helping with designs and finances. We had a market on the 17th of September which was a great success thanks to all the hard work from the group. We were all able to work together and sell enough products to generate a large profit. My involvement in this project has helped me develop the important capabilities of teamwork and organization by pushing me to my limits.

Thank you for reading! I hope this helps you learn more about me as a person.
