During this project utopia, we created some unique designs to help the Fremantle port grow into a better place. I have learnt three key factors of learning whilst I was doing this project: leadership, communication and collaboration, without these features of learning our project, will be a dystopian place.
Experts
During this project we had experts come in to give us a second opinion of our model, most of these experts did something relating to architecture
Speech
This part of project utopia relates to English, we are trying to create a physical model of what the port will look like, and our group was assigned to green spaces. Along with this we would also have to prepare a speech to explain what we are trying to turn the port into. We did this part of the project in English and the physical model during innovatED along with our augmented reality. We did not just create just one model but two, we also created a cospace, which if you didn’t know what it is it’s a augmented reality map that lets you create anything, the majority of year sevens used this app
Here is a link to our cospace: CoSpaces Edu :: Utopia,
We also have a video of our cospace map showing each part of the port carefully:

Earlier on in the year, we worked on a vision board and a report for project utopia, which is related to HASS. During this project, we had to create a vision board to help improve the Fremantle port. Our idea was to add aquarium green spaces and community batteries. Our main focus was Clean energy.

The Giver
In Term 2, we read a book called the giver, the giver is a dystopian place that is controlled by the elders. For this task, we had to write a saying arguing that The Giver is set in a utopian or a dystopian place using the TEEL structure and along with that creates a poster supporting our argument in the creative writing. I argued that the giver was set in a dystopian place and created a poster just like everyone to support my idea. We used symbols to represent what the community is to us, I used handcuffs to resemble and place where everyone follows the same rules, dark background and sketchy font to show that the place is a bit off and lastly, I added words that when you see them you will turn around and walk away.
Epic gamer playlist that helped me work on my speech
I did not listen to most of the songs because they were bad
