20 dollar boss semester 1

In semester 1 2021 for InnovatEd we did the project, 20 dollar boss. 20 dollar boss is a project where we are in groups and we have to make a product to sell, each member in the group gets 20 dollars each. We all collaborate and create a product together we had the opportunity to sell our products at a market put together at the school. we also had the opportunity to sell our products outside of school and expand our businesses

as you can see in the photo bellow this was our product. we made terrariums, a terrarium is plants that are able to grow in a bottle. the product is made with succulents, dirt, and rocks. these are good as they only need to be watered once a month or so as the water is trapped inside the bottle.

in my group were Annie, Makayla, Amelia, and myself. the large terrariums costed 10 dollars and the small ones were 5 but since our product was selling so well for the last 2 large terrariums we sold them for 12 dollars. at the market we sold out. at the market, we made a total of $109 then we have to pay back the $84 loan that we were given.

this is us at our market.

we focused on the aesthetic of our market to make our product look more appealing to buyers. by doing this it made our product look more professional.

i came into 20 dollar boss in term 2 so i was not apart of the original design process. when i came i was caught up to speed fast and we managed to get along with our work.

a capability we used was creativity we were trying to assemble the terrariums using as little materials as possible while doing it neatly. we ended up making a funnel out of paper to neatly get the dirt and rocks in. then we used sticks to move the rocks up to the side to minimize the amount we had to use. once we finished doing that we tied a cloth to a stick and cleaned up the sides of the bottle and put the plant in. we repeated this process for all the terrariums.

another capability was patience because we had to put together the terrariums slowing to make them neat and high quality.
