Hi, I’m Chloe!

Hi, I’m Chloe!

The name “Chloe” means blooming, and verdant, and I try to bloom into every circumstance, whilst Constantly grow and aspire into what I need to do, and who I need to be. A loyal and truthful reputation is another aspect of a wonderful name. All these wonderful reputations for people with the name Chloe is why I am constantly aspiring to live up to my name.

I am a compassionate and hard-working student who is currently in Year 9. Being assertive and motivated means I persevere and rarely back down from a challenge. I find it easy to make long-lasting friends, they tend to describe me as I am positive, imaginative, and creative, and I try to live up to all of my capabilities.

I am dedicated to all of my commitments and have always believed in following them until they are finished. I always have loved playing netball. I strive to be a Hard-working team and player and love going to watch competitive games and continue to play in the rain most weekends. Throughout the end of 2020, I entered into the Fremantle netball junior umpiring program trials. 100 Girls were trialled to get into this program, 2 sets of elimination trials and 30 girls were left and all 30 Graduated. Last year, I graduated from that program and was picked up to umpire for my club right away, though I am still to earn my C Badge.

I have always loved and prioritized my education, but I love my family above all of that. I have 2 dogs, which I have cared for and loved for 10 years. They never fail to make me laugh.

I am always determined to make the best out of every situation. I’m rarely disorganized and love to spend a great deal of time preparing for something that should take 10 minutes. I am humble and always versatile. I am productive with everything I do, and always finish tasks on time.

One piece of advice I was given at the start of high school from a year 12 leader, told me to always step outside of my comfort zone & to not worry about embarrassing myself, and I have followed this advice my entire journey through senior school so far, and this has advice has driven me to push myself in any possible way I can.

Through high school, I have worked on pushing myself outside my boundaries. This has included but has not been limited to, swimming with whale sharks in Exmouth, and participating in a school camp. Both were valuable, once in a lifetime experiences, where I was pushed outside my comfort zone, showed courage, resilience and leadership.

Swimming with whale sharks pushed me out of my comfort zone. It quite literally, put me in the deep end. We climbed on a boat, with a massive swell pushing us out, where we jumped into cold waters 8km out from shore and were pushed far away from the boat. We could not see anything below us and swam next to a very large whale shark. This was an experience I was opposed to participating in, due to hating swimming in deep oceans, but once I got in, it was an awesome experience. I ended up swimming twice. After, we had the opportunity to go snorkelling 5 km out from shore, where we saw numerous marine life, including an incredibly calm sea turtle.

Year 8 camp made me bring out strengths I didn’t know I had. We faced 2-degree weather, whilst camping in the middle of a forest. If these disastrous temperatures weren’t enough to push us out of our comfort zone, the freezing river crossing was. The river was cold, it had fast rushing water, and painful pebbles and rocks underfoot. If that wasn’t enough, we were carrying our packs on our backs. Which held all equipment and materials (other than food and water and tents) we needed to endure 3 days of camping. Overall, we spent 4 nights on OLP. 2 nights in dorms, and 2 camping in tents. We hiked each day, the longest being an 8km hike with our packs. Due to being on the ACC cross country team. I was picked up from camp with 11 others on the 4th day of our camp (the day after our 8km hike) and ran 3km, timing 13 mins and 31 seconds, placing 199 out of approx. 600 under 14 competitors. Then to go back to camp and continue activities for the next day and a half. Overall it was a great experience to build strengths, including teamwork, cooperation, communication, independence, organisation, strength, and so much more.

All around, I am a well-rounded person, who values being a team player, resilience, organisation, and so much more.
