Describe the process you went through to create your production.

Initially we watched some advertisements online. This inspired us to make a light hearted/joke ad. We tried to advertise using humor in a family setting. After we figured out what we wanted to do, we created a storyboard & a script. Once we finished this we started filiming and we made many different itterations of our product before coming out with the final edited version.

How did you come up with the original idea?

We came up with the idea by watching some old dominoes ads and ads for other food products. This helped us get inspiration for what we came to create. We used a seller, a family and tried to convey hapiness using many different humorous techniques. We took inspiration from many other ads. We came up with the product by using the kids TV show “bananas in pyjamas.”

Describe three obstacles or challenges that you encountered when creating your production.

– We struggled with filming because there were issues with the camera, and our focus. We weren’t focused and could’ve finished way earlier but made a couple mistakes on the way. Many people weren’t here throughout the week and we missed people that had certain footage. We also lost people who had experience with filming/editing that others didn’t have. Another issue was a lot of people ran out of battery and we lost quite a bit of footage. That was an issue which caused us to restart.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” type=”1_2″ theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.18.0″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″ custom_padding=”||0px|||”]

What would you do differently next time?

Next time I would plan for people not being here. I would also charge my laptop while we are working. We should’ve improved our script and storyboard. We didn’t plan well enough at the start. If we had stayed focused we would’ve finished early and done a better job with editing. If we had figured out how to edit with multiple people collaborating at the same time it would’ve been way easier to finish our final product. We made a few mistakes, but they only slowed us down and we still made aΒ  good quality product.

In session 6 we learnt about creating well designed presentations. We learnt 6 key design principles that helped us create effective and well designed presentations using a variety of different tools. Some tools we were using are, Adobe Spark, Canva, and Powerpoint. Following 6 key aspects:

  1. One idea for slide
  2. No sentences + no bullet points
  3. Size
  4. Use Images
  5. Dark Background

Β Me and Jun Feng used our skills learnt from this session to create a short powerpoint comparing, Shaquille O’neal and Giannis Antentokumpo in the NBA.Β

In this session we learnt about using canva or creative cloud express to create logos. We used the design principles and tried creating a variety of logo styles using many programs. I created a logo for myself using a combination of Adobe Illustrator and canva. My favourite program’s to use are Adobe Illustrator and Canva.Β

First I found a reference image for my design:

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://portfolio.ascollege.wa.edu.au/ali.zakareia/files/2022/09/Ja-Morant-e1617898030318.jpg” _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” title_text=”Ja-Morant-e1617898030318″ hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]

Then I created this design on illustrator:

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://portfolio.ascollege.wa.edu.au/ali.zakareia/files/2022/09/drip-1.jpg” _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” title_text=”drip” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]

Then I added this text on canva to create a finished/polished logo:

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=”https://portfolio.ascollege.wa.edu.au/ali.zakareia/files/2022/09/ALI-3.png” _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” title_text=”ALI (3)” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ theme_builder_area=”post_content” _builder_version=”4.17.6″ _module_preset=”default”][/et_pb_section]

Effects of agriculture on the water cycle

Agriculture can infect both groundwater and surface water with pesticides, animal wastes, antibiotics, silage effluents, and processing wastes from plantation crops. When some of these particles mix with the water they can combine with rain to produce acid rain, further causing a negative effect on the water cycle. Agriculture also causes erosion of soil and damage to land which can disrupt processes such as run off , ground water and transpiration.

Wayne’s World 5 Reflection πŸŒΉβœ¨πŸ’²

Everyone in 6W has spent the entire year creating a Minecraft city that they are working hard to make liveable. We just put Wayne’s World on survival mode, and inspired by Tulip Mania, we chose tulips as the currency.

Modern Examples of an economic bubble! βœ¨πŸŒŠβ†—β†˜

Exclusives and collectibles (fidgets, ooshies, etc.) that phase in and out of popularity are an example of an economic bubble.

Things like fidget spinners, pop-its, and other collectibles. Have a variety of colour options with varying rarity. People were asking over a grand for what is essentially a different colour of an ooshie. These items are frequently unique and have little use other than as a tiny gimmick. Many of these items ultimately run out of supply, (or aren’t popular anymore) leading to demand plummeting, and no one buying collectibles. The internet has also contributed in the development of these trends since content creators on sites like Youtube and Tik Tok showcase themselves utilising collectibles and, of course, you must be like the popular people.

Ooshies being sold on eBay for $10,000

How will we protect the wealth of MAS? πŸ’΅πŸ›‘βœ¨

We not only have a vast quantity of tulips, but we also have numerous stacks of resources and the most crypto of any city. If the tulip loses value, we will have our large material wealth left to protect us and keep us rich.

We want to transform a large number of our tulips into resources in the next (minecraft) weeks, considerably increasing our material wealth. We could mine a significant portion of our city if we wanted to, which could even further increase our material wealth. Having an alternative currency (AmpereCoin) allows us to still be wealthy even if the tulip loses value. We may even see crypto rise in value through times where the tulip is devalued.

Material Wealth

Importance of Wealth, Cool Stuff and Inclusivity

Cool Stuff! πŸ†’βœ¨πŸ‘“

Having cool things fosters tourism, which brings in money through visas and allows people to support companies like hotels, restaurants, and theme parks. Various attractions enhance the number of people walking in the city, which provides a number of advantages. Various studies conducted in the UK have shown that walking in cities can elicit pleasant emotions and reduce tension, anxiety, and overstimulation.

Wealth! πŸ’²βœ¨πŸ’΅

The wealthiest cities are stable and capable of purchasing a variety of things that can significantly help their population. Being wealthy enables you to purchase an abundance of resources. It also allows you to better your cool stuff, inclusion, and your city in general.

Inclusivity! βœ¨πŸ˜ƒ

Having a reliable and varied food source prevents famine and allows you to cater for people who can not or choose not to eat a certain food. We should have public spaces and areas for people to enjoy in our cities since they are for anybody to use, offering a place to rest, dine, or work. They offer minor conveniences such as shade, bike parking, and seats. Another reason for libraries and public spaces is for people who may not be able to purchase books or movies. They can view movies at the city-owned theatre for a lot less money than they can buy a TV and dvds.

What I enjoyed about Wayne’s World 5!

Wayne’s World 5 was a fantastic opportunity for us to put all of our economics work into practise, and in order to flourish further in your city, you must understand the economic concepts we learned in class. Wayne’s World also gave us a great opportunity to express ourselves while still learning and growing.

What I found frustrating and what changes we could make!

I definitely found some of the terrain modification hard. I also think that we should’ve had bigger groups & a lot more time on Wayne’s World. A large group may bring a lot of passengers, but I believe we could have groups of six, with each group divided into two. These smaller groups of three are similar to states or suburbs in that you construct together, share money, and work together, but each smaller group is responsible for their own groupwork (in democracy, for example) just like this year’s cities.  To spend more time in Wayne’s World, consider incorporating some more  math, history, and design into Wayne’s World. Instead of the design task, have students utilise the ASC design process to create something like transportation or a parliament. You could also use Minecraft to re-enact federation and other major events in Australian history. An example of this would be for our event (the 1978 Mardi Gras) to generate a large number of villagers to simulate a protest and maybe replace the floor with protester emblems (rainbow flag). After “experiencing” (and researching) the event, have the students design something that explains their experience inside the city. Another point is that the World Bank should be expanded, and you should be able to enable black markets and trade without the knowledge of the World Bank.

What makes a city liveable?

Stability/government, wealth/the economy, inclusion, and cool stuff are the four primary features of liveable cities. Walking should be enjoyable in the city, it should be safe, pleasant, and intriguing. Everyone in 6W has created a Minecraft city that they are striving to make liveable.

Cool stuff, wealth, inclusiveness, and stability. ✨πŸ₯– (VectorStock, Icon Finder, iStock, Duke Med)

Parliament & Stablitity!

MAS (our liveable city) has a three-house government (lower, higher, and central house). This ensures that each legislation is passed by around 150 persons, 20 in the upper house, 42 in the lower house, and 88 in the central house. The Upper House is presided over by the President, in the same way as the Senate is presided over by the Senate President in the Australian Parliament; this also applies to the Lower House, which is presided over by the Vice, and the Central House, which is presided over by the Representative. We have a job (with roughly the authority of the VP) called the Representative (or ROMAS) to guarantee that the laws are fair to our citizens.  He or she will preside over the central house, which is the second house through which legislation are passed to become laws. You will note that this house is the largest since it is where more people’s views may be heard. As a representative of the people, the Representative will also attend presidential meetings and seminars with other heads of state. The Representative has played an important role in our democracy. Before entering into any trade agreement with another state, the Representative will engage with the general public to see what they think of the decision. This enables us to always make the best decision for our citizens.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is image-1024x566.png
ROMAS (Representative of MAS) thinking about whether or not to vote on a proposed bill increasing our Public Transit Infrastructure. (Thought bubble: “Our public transit infrastructure could do with some work…”)

Cool Stuff

Cool stuff is important in a city because people need to relax, have fun and do anything other then constantly work. People will be motivated to work more if they are rewarded for their efforts. If people choose to walk instead of driving, there would be a considerable reduction in fossil fuel emissions from cars.

Wealth/The Economy

The wealthiest cities are stable and able to purchase a range of resources that can considerably benefit their community. A city can become wealthy in a variety of ways. Some of the most popular and successful methods to make money in Wayne’s World are to manufacture or sell a scarce and distinctive resource. Many stores have been established all around the world. Each shop’s major opponent is the world bank, which has boundless resources and can quickly undercut your pricing. You will also require excellent financial contingency planning in case people lose interest in your product and a large number of products to sell. Another fantastic potential is to establish a “city brand.” My city has built a city brand around innovation and technology by selling its crypto currency (AmpereCoin) and accepting it as a valid form of payment. The common currency in Wayne’s World is red tulips.

Some of our large wealth in Wayne’s World. πŸ’²πŸ’²πŸŒΉπŸŒΉ (Not including our large stash of crypto)

Crypto

In Wayne’s World 5, I have created a crypto currency called AmpereCoin. It works similar to bitcoin, having Ai’s (Our take on a Satoshi), it’s value also fluctuates based on demand. I have created my own ledger and I have begun to slowly implement a system similar to blockchain which checks if each purchase has been seen on a majority of ledgers.

If anyone wants to they can access a copy of the ledger here: AMP Ledger.xlsx

Resources/Inclusivity 1

People may purchase resources because they are deemed valuable or useful for a variety of reasons. The most valuable resources are those that are useful, scarce, and functioning. Wood, different stones, and sand are crucial building materials that may also be used to make tools. Because these materials are helpful, many people will want to acquire and utilise them. We have several goods that can be crafted/smelted into something else, which expands its many uses even more. To make the most of your resources, you should be a versatile builder who can mix function and aesthetics while being resourceful.

Resource Storageβœ¨πŸŒ‡

Inclusivity 2

Having a reliable and varied food source prevents famine and allows you to cater for people who can not or choose not to eat a certain food. This allows your city to be inclusive to all religions and have a variety of food. We also have a dam in our city which allows us to have enough drinking water for out citizens.

Inclusivity 3

We should have public spaces and areas for people to enjoy in our cities since they are for anybody to use, offering a place to rest, dine, or work. They offer minor conveniences such as shade, bike parking, and seats. They benefit local businesses by encouraging people to stay longer, and they provide a point of attraction for locals and visitors to enjoy. Another reason for libraries and public spaces is for people who may not be able to purchase books or movies. They can view movies at the city-owned theatre for a lot less money than they can buy a TV and dvds.
