Describe the process you went through to create your production?
We started by making a group of four, then we had to decide what product we would want to advertise for, my group chose to do Nike. After we had chosen our product we began to write a script and draw our storyboard. Then we were taught how to use the cameras and what filming angles are the best. After we were familiar with the camera, we were allowed to go and begin filming. Once we had completed all of our filming we edited the clips together and submitted them.
How did you come up with the original idea?
We wanted to do a clothing brand, but we wanted an expensive one. We decided to choose Nike because we had already thought of a bully scene to represent the expensive value of the shoes.
Describe three obstacles or challenges that you encountered when creating your production?
One of the challenges was when we were filming in the locker room because people were coming in and out. This made us have to pick the perfect moments to record when no one was in the room and we had to shut the locker room doors. Another obstacle that we faced was when we were filming outside because the wind made it hard for us to hear what was being said. The last problem that we faced was getting the perfect scene because we had to do over twenty recordings of each scene before we got the perfect one.
What would you do differently next time?
Next time I would story board more because not all of the parts that we recorded were on the story board. This will make it a lot quicker and easier to remember what to record next time.
