In this project, we made pinatas with an influence of Roberto Benavidez’s hybrid and mythical creatures. Our color palette choices were warm colors such as gold, a copper like color and some silver. Zoe and I decided on a design which was Pikachu and a bird merged together. We used the ears and the tail of Pikachu but the teeth and body shape of a bird. We worked as a team by firstly deciding on a design together, next was drawing it. We both sketched a design of what we wanted our pinata to look like, but we decided with mine. We then stuck the edges to the face, I cut the tape and Zoe stuck it on. We used problem solving throughout this task when we were trying to think of a good design but making sure it wasn’t unoriginal. We also used problem solving when we originally wanted to use the big triangles instead of the small for our pinata.
