Mindfulness Expo 2023

During term 3, 2023, the cohort of 2026 spent the final 5 weeks researching and digging into the topic of wellbeing, to have an end product of a stall styled presentation based on what we looked the deepest into. For my group comprised of Me, Daniel Haynes, Alex Mustapic, and Adam Glass, searched in the location of mental health when it came to mindfulness and especially with the idea of meditation.

The biggest thing that I ended up learning whilst doing this project was how powerful meditation was for people. Throughout the short 5 week period we investigated different instances of how meditation helped people throughout their lives, stumbling across cases such as people meditating through a brain surgery, and people meditating whilst starving.

One piece of advice that I would give to someone in regards to wellbeing above all others is that you should always find some time out of your day to relax and reflect about the past, present, and the future. Try to realize where you are at in life, where you have come from, and where you want to go. Try and pull out some time in your day even if it is just 5 minutes to be mindful, even if it is in a workplace, school or just at your house. Just try and find some time to relax and reflect.

I pledge to keep some time to reflect and keep my self healthy throughout my life, I will always seek help if I ever feel down. I will never let my emotions put me down.
