My house of values
A house of values is a house, built up of the most important values to your life, from the foundation to the furniture that makes your life full of what you are.
As you can see my house has 3 main values, Organization, Responsibility and Independence, and here is why they are my main values.
Responsibility
One of my core values is responsibility, this is because responsibility is the state of having a duty to deal with. Responsibility lets me be independent with the intention of doing a task successfully. Another reason that responsibility is one of my core values is to the fact that I am normally doing things by myself and independently.
Independence
Independence is another one of my core values. The reason that independence is one of my core values is that it is the ability to do things independently and by myself without help. For me being independent is when I can be free from outside control without needing help or having to be with other people.
Organization
Organization is my final core value. The reason that I take organization over any other values is for me to be able to function my day to day life I need to have organization. Without organization then I would not be able to do stuff properly without wondering what I am going to do next.
Role Models
Role models are an important part in our lives as they gives us someone to look up to. But how do you know if you looking up to someone who is healthy minded and has good values or someone who is the complete opposite? Here I have used 2 role models a healthy, well minded influencer and a unhealthy, bad influencer.
Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi is a well known football (soccer) player who has been argued as the goat (greatest of all time) of football. He demonstrates traits of leadership, perseverance and focus. Having a hard childhood into becoming one of the best football players in the world and leading a great team. Other traits that he has that are healthy and good are the traits of loyalty, respect, and humbleness. Staying with Barcelona for 21 years only moving to Paris Saint German (PSG) recently. The story of Messi shows that anything is possible as long as you have an end goal and passion for the subject, sport or hobby. More people should be looking up to Messi because he has come through hard times in his life and is respectful to those who have helped him through his journey as a football player, As well as consistently using values such as courage, respect, responsibility and adaptability.
Logan Paul
Logan Paul is one of the most well known youtubers on the platform, from his new wrestling career and boxing career to his infamous suicide forest video. He has gained a lot of attention over his time on the platform. For some good things but mainly bad stuff. Some example of some unhealthy values that he carries are like: being boastful, being egotistical and overall being a cocky and a bit of a bully to those who he thinks he is better than. Some things that he has done to be known as a “bad celebrity role model” are those of the suicide forest controversy in 2017-2018 when he went to camp in the suicide forest, later to see corpse hung in the tree. The reactions received by the gang camping were criticized by celebrities and politicians. As well as his on his podcast one of the episodes titled “What is it, male-only March?” Where he says he gonna attempt to be gay for a month. Later gaining criticism for implying that being gay is a choice, with LGBTQ+ organization GLAAD responding to Logan Paul’s Twitter statement, saying, “That’s not how it works, Logan Paul.” Young people should not look up to him due to his awful behavior and egotistical personality. With this the media has had a major impact in Logan’s career, and by saying that, not everything you see is true and you should get it established by multiple reliable websites saying that the fact is true.
If you were not able to tell, Lionel Messi is a much better role model to look up too and you should avoid looking up to people such as Logan Paul.
