Dear Honourable Roger Cook,

I am writing this letter to inform you about the situation on Asylum Seekers and Refugees and the way that Australia handles the incoming flow of refugees by boat and plane. My concerns are that are they are not getting the necessary education for especially for children and protection so that they are able to live in Australia without having any worries whatsoever. With refugee’s and asylum seekers coming by boat most of them have come looking for a place of peace and freedom, without any type of protection, or connection to anyone in this country, with this in mind we also have to consider their background history and what has happened to them in the past, the language they speak and that do not understand English. If we are unable to help them survive in Australia then imagine the impact it would have on them, but also the impact it would have on the Australia as a responsible country.

If we were to not give the necessary protection to the incoming refugees and asylum seekers, then we would be ruining the lives of multiple people. With more than 18,200 recorded refugees from 2019, if we were to give them protection and more than that we would not only be benefiting their lives by having safety and a job, but we would also be able to benefit it by having more functioning members in our society, further helping the economic state of Australia with certain types of economic areas, like mining and oil and gas. Another benefit that we could have is becoming a role model for other countries who decide to not put as much help toward refugees and asylum seekers, who do not have a chance to thrive in a new environment as much as people like us who have already lived in this country for a long enough time.

We could be able to achieve this by giving out the necessary protection pls extra things, such as a job, education if needed, safety, and hygiene products, to further live and benefit throughout their lives. Then again, benefiting our lives by supporting the economy, but mainly supporting their lives and allowing them to adjust to Australia as best as possible. I am truly grateful that you have read this letter as I feel that the idea that the way Australia deals with their refugees and asylum seekers could be dealt with better. I hope that you can help improve the situation and spread the word onto others.

Yours Faithfully,
