This year (2023) I signed up to go one Monday after noon to the old peoples home. I thought it would be boring and just a thing to kill time but, I was wrong…. it proved to be an amazing experience that made my day so happy. Walking down there I was nervous and worried that I wouldn’t do well because to say the least I am not a great singer but when we started singing it was so nice and none cared that I cant sing. We sang Christmas carols for 2 hours and I left feeling so jolly. Seeing the joy and happiness we brought them was so nice, to see them sing and join in was better. I met a lovely old lady and we sang so loud and she just happened to be my friends granny. Everyone was so merry that even the staff joined in and eventually a man joined in who was so energetic and he sounded like an angle and from the faces of the residents they thought so too. Over all I thought it was an amazing experience and I look forward to doing again
