During this process I have been able to stay organised and manage my time efficiently. First I planned and sketched my design for my pot, then started making it. It took about a term and a half to achieve this.
To create my design I looked at some inspirations to see what I liked. I searched up surrealist artwork and some clay pot designs. I wanted to create a simple yet effective pot. First I made a walk base and then added a curve to it by using the coil method. I refined and smoothed out any bumps in the clay with a wooden tool. To add some dimension I engraved a simple pattern into the pot. I somewhat freestyled the design and wasn’t too sure where I was going with it, but I ended up really liking it. To finish it off I added some copper wash onto it and put some clear glaze to the inside of the pot.
Some issues I ran into along the way were cracks that kept appearing in the clay as it dried out. My handle wasn’t attached properly the first time so it fell off a couple of times but to fix this I attached it with some new clay and made sure to use the correct method to make sure it was secure. Apart from these problems my pot making process was pretty smooth and worked out well.

I’m very happy with how my pot worked out and love how my design turned out.
