Project Utopia reflection

Project Utopia gave me a lot of chances to experience and to explore the things that I have never had a chance to do in other projects. I had a chance to communicate, collaborate, be organized and to be creative with work. I am proud to be in a group with Ivan, Isla, and Emelia. I think our result was very well.

This is when we went walking around Fremantle and looking where to put our ideas I think I collaborated well. This is especially true for the order we were speaking in for the real showcase.  We talked for the first time after being in a mixed group with other people from different classes and discussed ideas. I think that we collaborated well in the end. I have no regrets for what happened in our group and what we would do differently in the project. We were talking to each other, and we were figuring out what we would say  when it came to the speech and what we were each saying. But then in the end I think we all just went with the flow when it came to talking with adults at the showcase.

I think that my group and I had a very good sense of communication because what we would do is if someone was away no-one would stress, or panic and we would think about what to do next and we kept calm and we got on with our work that we needed to improve on after we got teacher feedback from other teachers. I think that we were doing well and communicating with others on the project. My group and I talked after we returned from our journey to the different parts in the port. and where we went and what we could put in the port after deciding which was best.

My group and I had a good, organized set that we were working with, and we had the right idea on what we were doing in the project and how we did it with the people and we always kept our working area tidy no matter how much people were there. I think that we were doing a good job of each other roles and I think that we had the perfect roles, Ivan was gluing and designing the pictures and title, Isla and Emelia were finding the pictures, and I (Josh) was doing the research and finding the best area to put our water park.

This is when we were at the showcase presenting to adults

In conclusion, I felt that we did well when it came to people talking to us, I didn’t crack under the pressure. We were speaking with a clear voice and we had confidence in what we were saying. I think that I said it in an emotion that made some of the people really think about what I was saying. I am happy that my group and I did well in what we did and how we presented it to the adults at the showcase. I am thankful for the people who organized the project and how they made us do something new.
