During year 8 I was able to take part in the Dance for Project X. Over the course of Term 4 I choreographed a dance.
My idea is this girl who comes from a very soft and slow world. Through the dance, she finds this door and wants to go through it because she sees two girls on the other side having a lot of fun. She eventually walks through the door to find a parallel universe that is more fun and happy. Her new friends are showing her the fun things in life so they can go back and make her world a better place.
The dance will transition from being very soft and elegant to moving into a more fun and hip hop kind of dance where everyone is together and happy. At the start of the dance, everyone will be really sad, the girl will be sad because she is lonely and the other two people in the alternate universe will be sad because they are missing one person. Towards the end of the dance they will join up and everyone will be happy. This will show how the world can transform.
There is always another world you can drift off into. There might be a magical city below the water. Even though there might be an end to something there will always be something new to start. The world is endless.
