How does this version of Macbeth challenge the traditional versions of Macbeth?

In our version of Macbeth, we used a lot more humour and jokes making fun of things some of the characters said or did. They do this by bringing in the buffoons to bring in a bit of comedy to not make such long boring dialogue bits throughout the performance. In the traditional versions of Macbeth, they made it tragic which made some things seem not human while in our one we also added music to lighten it up and make the characters seem more realistic in our world. In our version, we also interacted with the audience to make them feel part of it we did this by either bringing them into the play or just looking at them as if they were interacting with them.

What are some of the artistic choices you like

One artistic choice I liked is how we set the audience up around us in a square shape. I liked this because it made the audience see all sides and made it feel more emotional because you were up and close to the performers which gave it more of an experience instead of everyone sitting in front of them like a normal play. Another Artistic choice I liked is how we used the block. I liked this because it gave some scene levels like in my scene (is this a dagger) I stood up on the block and I tripped down while trying to reach for it. This made it seem more interesting instead of me just walking and tripping forward normally.

What some of the creative choices you do not like

Some creative choices I did not like were how it felt like there was nowhere to go when walking around the set, as if I almost felt trapped in a corner when performing. This was only because the square was a little small which just meant not as much movement while performing.

Write a 100-200 review of this production

This production I found interesting, I found it interesting because I had never done much Shakespeare, so it felt a lot different than doing a normal play that I had done before. I also found it interesting because of the dialogue that the characters had with each other, I found some words confusing but after looking them up I understood what the character was talking about which did help me out a lot and helped me find what emotion I should be going for. I found this production quite hard at times because of the dialogue only because of me not understanding what they were talking about at times and memorizing all my lines. Overall, I enjoyed this production a lot because it was different from something I4 had ever done which made it a much more enjoyable learning process
