The science project that we were assigned was to make a tower made of spaghetti and blue tack. But there were some rules to it. We only could use $60 with 1 stick each dollar. We would then have to shake it and make sure that it would stay using the amount of products that we could get.
Design Process: We started thinking of what the base should look like and how we build it up. We decided that we were going to make it a triangular shape and put a miniature triangle in the middle of that. This design that we used did survive the earthquake which was good but it did seem very wobbly and looked like it was about to snap. For the second design, we chose to put double sticks on the bottom so it would stand stronger. This did help so much because it stayed up really strong and did not wobble at all. The next thing is to find a way to keep the cardboard on top. we did this by putting an X shape on the middle of the top bit. This did help the thing from falling more but it did still fall off.
Teamwork
For this project, I did the majority of the building while Toby would hold some some things up to make sure It would not fall. This worked out well so we could both work effectively and get the work done quickly. Wade would grab the products for us while we worked which helped while we where struggling to hold something up
