E-Portfolio Reflection

Questions 1 – 5

Can you think of something in your experience where the price soars and then drops suddenly?

An example of prices for items skyrocketing and then crashing down is around Christmas time, when demand is very high for items like gaming sets, or toys. The producers are forced to create more and more supply, making them raise the price. So when Christmas is over, the prices crash down because of how much supply there is and not enough demand.

How will you protect the wealth of your City if the World Bank devalues the Red Tulip

If the bank stops allowing tulips to be a currency, our city will be heavily prepared. How? Well our city has stocked up not just tulips, but also several different items that could be sold for lots of the new currency. No matter what, our city will be prepared for currency value changing, or just entirely getting deleted.

Why is it important for Cities to have “cool stuff”, to have “wealth, and to be “inclusive”?

It is important for all cities to be wealthy, inclusive and have cool stuff as this means all citizens would be happen to be living in this city and enjoying their life. Without out this, your city wouldn’t be liveable, the whole point of the project.

What Have I Enjoyed

Something I have enjoyed about this project is how we can make our own city with our own designs and simulate what it’s like to be a city owner. I enjoyed being able to interact with other cities and trade like we were building an empire.

What was frustrating about this project?

Some things I found really tricky in this project were agreeing with my city about certain trades or decoration. It was hard to make up our minds for some things and stay wealthy and liveable at the same time as trying to expand.
