For semester 1 innovatED I did 9ism9. Nine is Mine is a campaign of, for and by the children, training children to be advocates for change. At the start of InnovatED, we looked at all the circus equipment and had a go at and looked at what we liked best. Once we found what we liked we decided to look into the global goals, we looked at the definition and what they all meant. We started to call the people in India, we talked about the global goals and what it is like over in India. After we talk about the global goals, we showed each other circus skills, they would show us their tricks, and then we would also. We were in groups of 2, the partners would change each lesson, and we would also get different people in India for each lesson. The people in India would talk about how the global goals relate to them. They would talk about how clean the water is, the electricity, and the surge, it is very sad to hear what their living conditions are.
After each meeting, the class would come together and talk about what they learned. We would talk about the experiences they have with the global goals. I found it interesting that we could talk to people on the other side of the world and learn a lot more about them. They were very very nice people and they were very good at a circus.
