Drinking Assignment

In term 3 for health we have been learning about drinking and how dangerous and damaging it can be. We were told to create innovative educational videos or games, for our classmates. We were allowed up to 3-4 people in our group. In my group, I had Kereen, Poppy, and myself. We have done raps in the past in science and religion and we really enjoyed doing it so we decided to do it for our health project too.

Reflection

  • What were the most significant things you learned while completing this task?

When I was doing this task, I learned mainly what alcohol did to you and how damaging it was. Making a RAP is a fun way to remember things, if you need to remember something you can just go over the rap and follow the lines. I also learned that you need to have a lot of patients with making RAPS, it is because if someone messes up you have to restart. Mistakes are normal but they can be very frustrating when they happen over and over again.

  • What one piece of advice would you pass on to young teenagers above all else? Why?

If I was to talk to a young teenager I would say that drinking alcohol isn’t as cool as you think it is. It is very damaging to the body, it doesn’t make u look cooler than everyone else. You aren’t missing out on much. Some long-term effects that alcohol can do on you are heart problems, brain diseases, strokes, and a lot more to name. Just wait till you are 18 to drink, if you are make sure that you aren’t drinking too much. If you are drinking you don’t want to go over 0.5 BAC if you are planning to drive anywhere.

  • How did you and your group members work together? What did you do well and what could have been improved?

My group members are really fun to work with, like I mentioned before we had made some raps before as a group. I know that we needed to get things done a lot more efficiently and be more productive as some people got distracted doing other things. We spent a lot of the time recording the audio of the rap, which made us have to get the video done in one period. We ended up finishing the rap which did turn out really well and got our point out. In the end, we had a Kahoot to make sure people learned and were listening to the rap. I enjoy working with my group and it’s always fun when we get to the video once the audio is done.

here is our rap 🙂
