Overall in English this year I feel that my English has improved since last year. I sense that I have gained more knowledge about writing stories and different ways and using better punctuation and grammar. I have done okay this year but I could definitely improve my marks with more effort and determination. This year we did a variety of things like stories, oral presentations, and articles. This year, English has improved my teamwork with the podcast assessment which I did with two other classmates. I have also gotten more creative with my writing, I have gotten more organized this year compared to last year but I definitely need to be on top of due dates and revision more.
Achievements This Year
This year I feel that I was the best at the oral presentations, or though I don’t tend to enjoy presenting I do quite well at it. Take-home assessments I seem to do well in and they boost my overall mark. I feel more confident when I do take-home work rather than in-class essays. I feel this way as essays in class give me more stress and I don’t know how to prepare for these whereas when I get a take-home story/assignment I feel less pressure. I think I need to improve on essays as I tend to not answer the question and say the same things in different words. Mr L has mentioned this many times and I really need to improve this. This could be improved by planning in detail before I start writing anything, if i do this i could stay on track.
