At the end of 2019, I had the opportunity to be apart of the amazing cast of the production A Monster Calls with the years 7-9.

The play was about a boy named Conor, a twelve-year-old boy, that encounters an ancient tree monster who helps him cope with his mum who is dying of Cancer and all whilst he is being bullied in school.

The performance is a very heartwarming but quite sad piece that uses metaphors such as the Monster that comes and visits him and him having to deal with so many things at once that finally he snaps and can’t take it anymore so he lets it all go.

Being apart of this beautiful piece was awesome and being able to be apart of the cast of the monster and work with new people was terrific! I really loved being apart of this and hope to do many more things like this in the future.
