Media Advert

The Process

We started off by brainstorming the idea. We then created script and storyboard, using the rules of camera angles and distance. We then put it into action, filming the advert, based on the storyboard we made, we did this for 2 lessons. We then got all of the good clips and put them together to make the advert. We edited this and added music/sounds. We finally uploaded the final product.

The Idea

Me and my group first agreed that we wanted a product in the food genre. And we all love monkey’s, and chunky rhymes with it. We then took inspiration from the red bull adverts “Red bull gives you wings” and wanted some kind of superpower to be involved in our product, which we agreed on super strength. We then decided that “chunky monkey” sounded to boring, so we changed it to “Chonke Monke” to make it more interesting. And that is how we came up with our idea.

Three Obstacles We Encountered

We encounter many of challenges when creating the production, but I will explain the top 3. The first obstacle we faced was our time management. We got given a lot of time, but we still could of used it more wisely to finish with plenty of time remaining. The second issue we ran into was staying on track. Many times we would forget about the class and have a very unproductive lesson. The third problem we ran into was acting. We have many many bloopers of us laughing mid scene.

Something I Would Do Different

Next time I would do this I would change our focus. Many times would lose focus, both while filming and not. If we would have been more focused we would of had much more footage, and it would be a lot higher quality.

Project Utopia 2022

What Is Project Utopia?

The Fremantle Port Shipping Containers

Fremantle Port is relocating its shipping containers to Kwinana, leaving a large amount of vacant space. Project Utopia is to sustainably redesign and pitch our ideas for the port. The word ‘Utopia’ originated in the year 1516, however, the concept of a Utopia has been around for much longer. The concept is ‘an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect.’ But we plan to make this concept non-imaginary, and to redesign the port to be a real utopia.

Global Goals

The Global Goals are a collection of goals which have been adapted by the United Nations in 2015. There is 17 goals that planned to be achieved by the year 2030. We focused on these goals while doing this project to try to get as to a utopia as possible.

Renewable Resources Research

What is a renewable resource?

A renewable resource is something that is reliable, sustainable and reusable. A non-renewable resource would be something like fossil fuels. It is limited and not environmentally friendly. But a renewable resource is something that in theory will never run out. Like the wind, the sun or heat.

Wind Power

Wind power is power from wind. The are massive buildings with a big spinning turbine. They cost 1-2 cents per kilowatt hour produced and costs upwards of 1-5 million dollars to build.

Solar Power

Solar panels are energy that is powered by the sun. They can also power the temperature of water. They can cost between 100-1000 per panel and they can produce between 250-400 watts an hour!

Coal Power

Is a non-renewable source of energy. It burns coal to produce power. Coal power can cost about 8 cents a watt of power, but no extra costs!

Greywater Recycling

Impacts of the water cycle.

There is many things that can impact and damage the water cycle. There is many different things that effect the water cycle. Here are some of them…

  • Acid rain can leach aluminium from soil clay particles. Then it can leak into the rivers, damns, lakes etc.
  • Pollution can significantly affect the water cycle by reducing the amount of solar radiation entering our planet. Because the smoke weakens the suns rays. This causes the amount of water evaporating to decrease.

What is Greywater Recycling

Grey water is wasted water from non-toilet like plumbing systems. You can grey water recycle by maybe even doing something as simple as placing a bucket beneath you when you shower. After that you can recycle the excess water in the bucket to do something else that involves water. Overall grey water recycling can save you water.

Basketball

Why?

I love to play basketball because it is a fast-paced sport. Basketball helps me with teamwork and leadership because it is a team game. It also helps me build friendships by getting to know more people.

Achievements

In the 6 years I have been playing basketball I have achieved 1 MVP and 1 Coaches award. My career-high in points is 18 points and overall I have scored more than 300 points.

The Best Game I’ve Played

So, it was the 4th game of the season and my team was still looking for our first win. Unlucky for us, we were versing the top of the ladder. Everybody thought we were going to lose but I managed to have an incredible game. I scored 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 blocks. We ended up winning by 6 points and that is the best game I’ve played.

Capabilities

Basketball helps me with 3 different capabilities. Self-aware, collaborative, and leadership. Therefore basketball helps me further develop my capabilities.
