The past doesn’t exist, and neither does the future. Everything happens relatively in the present. But then again, the future becomes the present with every passing instant. Thus you need to think about what your next move will be, both metaphorically and literally. This is what this post is about.
Specifically this post is going to discuss the future of my work. There are many different career opportunities in the future. Some are growing in demand, others shrinking. And while some people would want to have a well paying job whatever it is, I would prefer a job that I would enjoy (as well as a nice paying job). This is why the top job on my list of jobs is to become a physicist. Ever since a young age, I have been interested in how the world works. I would love to be payed for doing something I love, leading me to a physicist’s job. Being a physicist would mean that I would study the nature of matter and energy. The physics industry appears to be very strong, or at least the job I’m interested in and, while I do want a job I enjoy, I also want a job that is stable. The job of a physicist earns $2 094 per week which is higher then average pay, which is good because I would like to earn a decent amount of money. The skill level I need to have in order to become a physicist is a Bachelor Degree or higher in a related field to physics. And the best about this job is the tasks I would have to preform. Observing matter, energy, time, and forces to then use practically or help find out more about the Universe and Earth; It’s just a dream come true.
The main industry a physicist would work for would be the science industry. Because physics is a branch of science, it makes sense for physicists to work in the science industry. I’m not sure if this is in the same industry, but a physicist could also get a job in the space industry. Both industry’s are ones I’d be thrilled to work with (with the side note that the Australian government needs to fund more to the space program) however, working at NASA would be cool too (but I wouldn’t live in Australia). Also, most of my role-models are famous physicists and being just like Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Neil DeGrasse Tyson would make my life complete (as a metaphor, it wouldn’t actually but it would fulfil a couple of things on my bucket list.
