Charlotte and I’s Christmas Market and stall photo

My experience

My experience at the Christmas market was amazing, I had such a fun time, and it was such a great learning experience. Our product was Macrame Keychains and we almost sold out of all of them which is great. Charlotte and I made a profit of about $120 that went to the salvation army.

Challenges:

Creating that advert was something that was more challenging, as we had to create an image on the advert in which we would both agree upon as well as receiving feedback from the teacher and trying to apply it to the image.

Capabilities

The capabilities that both Charlotte and I used, were effective communication as we would always discuss everything and we would talk about new ideas or something new that we learnt. We also took in all the feedback that we received, we problem solved all of our problems and created something better than what we started with. As well as using collaboration as we both worked together to get the work done and we had an even amount of work that we both had to do but we mainly worked together.

What I learnt

Throughout this experience, I learnt about how to start my own business and I learnt about all the key economic features of starting a business and how to get it started. We learnt about how to create our own advert and promote our business. So I have learnt heaps over the course of this experience.

Stall design

Our stall design looked very good and the red tablecloth tied in with our advert as we had red colours all throughout the advert to symbolise a red carpet. We also had lots of cream colours going on which matched one of our keychain colours but all the colours just all worked really well with each other. We had lots of table decoration as well which made it look great and just added that little bit more to the table and finished it off nicely.

The whole Christmas market was such a blast and I loved working with Charlotte and I will hopefully continue this business in the future.
