In 2020 my Future Problem Solving team and I qualified for nationals. In Future Problem Solving we are given future scenarios. Once received we need to find the root problem, then find the most effective solution using a criteria made in the two hours we are given. Then write an action plan including the problem, the solution, the completion date etc. Our team completed the three scenarios before the national one, as it helps us prepare for nationals. We were then given 2 hours to complete the qualifying problem for nationals, which we successfully completed with the highest score that an All Saints’ team has gotten. Unfortunately covid came and we couldn’t go to Melbourne, instead we gathered at St Mary’s and competed from there. We missed out to represent country by a spot, but we are determined to get there this year. This was a great experience to have as it taught me many problem identifying and solving skills.
Well done on a great effort in FPS! It takes hard work and a lot of talent to do as well as you and the team did.
