- After watching “Tulip Mania” (on SeeSaw), can you think of something in your experience / life where the price soars and then drops suddenly?
Fidgets because fidgets were the whole craze for a long time which meant children begging their parents for money to buy them. They were also a fun thing to play with and occupy yourself with. After time no one liked them and they became boring because everyone had used them for so long. After one craze come another so after fidget came the squid game. When there is less of the product and there is more of the purchaser then the price goes up which is exactly what happened with the fidget craze.

2. After watching “Tulip Mania”, how will you protect the wealth of your City if the World Bank devalues the Red Tulip (or no longer accepts it as a form of payment)?
I will be careful what I trade and buy with and I and Sophie have lots of recourses that could become a form of payment. If needed we would separate the responsibilities and someone could work on building while the other searches so we can still expand our city. We can also use Ali’s cryptocurrency because Ampere coin could be something that gains are wealth and can still be used in any situation.
3. Why is it important for Cities to have “cool stuff”, to have “wealth, and to be “inclusive”?
All those things create a city without them all our cities would be nothing. Without cool stuff, we would have nothing to be excited about inclusivity is how we interact and one of the ways we have fun together. If we had no tulips/money what could we buy how would we live. You need food water and shelter to even live a day without anything you would be suffering. We may not be wealthy but Plantopia has lots of cool things to attract people and it helps for the ranking.
4. What have you enjoyed about this Inquiry?
That we were free to build whatever we wanted at the start, we could have fun playing. I also liked that we got too many periods of Minecraft. Without time Plantopia would be nothing. It was a really good thing to experience because we could have some time to work things out to build which helped us prepare for economics in the future.
5. What have you found difficult or frustrating about the Inquiry? What changes would you make?
I found all the rules at the beginning frustrating because we had to build completely new things which take a lot of time like a 50 by 50 by 10 dam. Getting all the recourses for the requirements was hard because you would need many things we didn’t have which caused a big commotion. Plantopia struggled but if we work hard we can accomplish anything. As I always think the more the struggle the easier it gets. If you struggle it shows that your learning which is one of the main reasons we did this. Frustration can make you or break you because when things get hard you want to quit but if you keep going you can do anything you want to do. I loved this experience for economics because it shows what aspects you need to accomplish the task and that it can be hard. This is fine because it can be fun to struggle because it can be fun struggling could make the experience even better. If we could have had some more time then we could have gotten further on our world than now and we could have been able to learn more.
