In 2020, when I was in year 5, I volunteered to help run the ‘Thrive In Five’. It is normally run by the year 6 leaders but because of COVID their camp was postponed so the year 5s ran it.
The process included a lot of work like memorising games, to practicing them on a Thursday afternoon. I really liked this opportunity because it was my first main leadership opportunity at All Saints’.
On the night we ran games and I did a speech with Sam V and Leticia about the new opputunnities that you will get at All Saints and I was very nervous beacsue I had never done a speech with that amount of people watching but beacsue of my practise I did well!
On the night I ran the activities with Ali and Clarissa. We ran a few games and we had lots of fun helping out run the games.
We also got some pizza too for helping out!
Overall I enjoyed this opportunity as a great way to show some leadership and help out the new kids.
