For this project our task was to create a 2-3 minute presentation including a topic relating to change that we found interesting in science. My group had Zaina, Holly, Ebonnie and I in it. I chose this group as I know that we work well together on projects. We then had to explain that topic through a creative, fun and engaging way. Our group chose the topic of day and night and the changes they have in different parts of the world. The reason we chose this project was because we already had ideas and knowledge about it from past years of school, as it was a common topic that we learned. We chose to present this topic through a video.

We organised our group by allocating different roles to each person in our group. We all gave each other a chance to voice our opinions, and we each listened and elaborated on others. At the start of the assignment we all found it hard deciding and agreeing on what was going to be our topic, as we knew this would be a large part of the project. If we had the opportunity to repeat our project, we probably would have planned out a script at the start of the project and spent more time on that, so when it came to filming we would be more confident after also practicing our part.

Our group didn’t actually have many disagreements, as we all liked similar science topics. Although at the start of the project we found it hard deciding and coming to a conclusion for what topic we were going to do our whole project and video on.

Our group managed our time as we are all very hard working. We always discussed at the start of each lesson so we could plan out how we would effectively use our time, and get the most out of the lesson. In the future we may have been able to use some other strategies to manage our time such as using a SCRUM.
