Important Skill

An important skill in basketball is dribbling. Dribbling is the foundation of a player’s offensive arsenal, enabling them to move the ball up the court, create scoring opportunities, and maintain possession under pressure. Over the years, I have dedicated countless hours to developing my dribbling skills. Through practice and drills, I’ve honed my ability to control the ball with both hands, execute crossovers and spin moves, and maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Dribbling has not only improved my offensive capabilities but has also enhanced my overall basketball IQ, allowing me to read defenses and make better decisions on the court. It’s a skill that continues to evolve in my game, as I strive for greater precision and creativity in my ball-handling abilities.

Course

One of the courses that captured my interest and proved to be highly valuable was the strapping course. Particularly, the section on strapping angles stood out, although the entirety of the course had its merits. I found the strapping course particularly relevant because of my recurring need to tape my ankle or wear an ankle brace due to its weakness. Not only did the course teach me the proper technique for strapping others’ ankles, but it also equipped me with the knowledge to effectively strap my own ankle. The course didn’t solely focus on ankles; it covered other areas like fingers and thumbs, which I also found to be practical and beneficial to learn. This newfound knowledge will have a lasting impact on my life, allowing me to independently strap my own ankles or fingers without relying on others for assistance, or teach others how if I need assistance.
